Last night my mom got a stabbing and persistent pain in her chest with vomitting and had to be taken to the ER. She was diagnosed with gallstones and a hernia, she came back home the next morning at 7 am.
While at my work shift today (some 5 hours ago) my dad announced to our family group chat that at midday she got the same pains and vomitting again, she was taken to the ER once more, and this time it was immediate emergency surgery instead of pain management.
We are already extremely indebted and broke, and now this. Any help if you can afford it is appreciated, please. We've been asking for loans to buy bread for over a year at this point.

Jic while the Chilean peso is pretty low (1 USD = 806 CLP as of today), things aren't exactly cheap here. 😅
Minimum wage is 300,000 CLP (which is miserable), a cheap mobile phone service bill is around 10,000 CLP, an average popsicle is like 300-500 CLP, I buy the most basic melatonin pills at above 5,000 CLP in most places, and people here talk about money in "lucas" (each 1,000 CLP) or "palos" (each 1,000,000 CLP). So while it is true that the Chilean peso is pretty low next to the US dollar, our prices and cost of living aren't proportionally lower in accordance to how devalued our coin is.
I'll be shocked if this surgery is anywhere below 2 million pesos.
